Struggling

I just wanted to pop in and say hello.
The pain is just as real and fresh as it was a week and a half ago.
I don't mean to be a Debby downer but I am a whirlwind of emotions.
I know that times heals and that I will be OK but that is very hard for me to see currently.
There's always a light at the end of the tunnel but currently my light seems to be gone or fading.

I know this is a fun blog filled with my weekend adventures, my favorite makeup products, new discoveries, etc and I don't/won't lose all of that - but this blog is also about my life and currently I am struggling.
I do not know if anyone wishes to hear what this is like/how hard it is to let go - Or if anyone wishes to hear of my dramatic emotional mood swings where one minute I think maybe I really did dodge a bullet and I am happy! The then the next minute I think I wish I could put the ring back on and everything would be fixed. Or, to be honest, how a huge part of me wants to see him while the other half of me wishes to never set eyes on his face again.

It sucks. Honestly, sucks.
I know how I tend to joke and say the struggle is real but this time it really is.

I know this isn't an uplifting or cheery post but I just wanted to pop in and show you all that I am still alive and will return - it may be slower than I want or I may not be able to post as often - but I will return.

As I said before, in my last post, if you have any questions you can e-mail me at simplyteasing@hotmail.com.

Changes

Hello everyone.
I just wanted to give you a quick update as I am handling a situation that I did not foresee.
Since my life is in an uproar I may not be updating as often as usual - but only for a bit. I'll get back on my schedule! I also have some exciting new things to talk about, like a new nail polish obsession.

Anyway, I don't want to go into full details plus I am still not sure what really happened, but my fiancé up and left me without much of an explanation. If you have any questions you can e-mail me.

This is certainly not the post I was anticipating for today but I wanted to reach out and let you know in case I am MIA for a week or so.

And another one bites the dust
Oh why can I not conquer love?
And I might have thought that we were one
Wanted to fight this war without weapons

And I wanted it, I wanted it bad
But there were so many red flags
Now another one bites the dust
Yeah, let's be clear, I'll trust no one

You did not break me
I'm still fighting for peace

Well, I've got thick skin and an elastic heart,
But your blade—it might be too sharp
I'm like a rubber band until you pull too hard,
Yeah, I may snap and I move fast
But you won't see me fall apart
'Cause I've got an elastic heart

I've got an elastic heart
Yeah, I've got an elastic heart

And I will stay up through the night
Let's be clear, won't close my eyes
And I know that I can survive
I'll walk through fire to save my life

And I want it, I want my life so bad
I'm doing everything I can
Then another one bites the dust
It's hard to lose a chosen one

You did not break me
(you did not break me, no)
I'm still fighting for peace

[3x]
Well, I've got thick skin and an elastic heart,
But your blade—it might be too sharp
I'm like a rubber band until you pull too hard,
Yeah, I may snap and I move fast

I've got an elastic heart

March Favorites!

1/2/3/4/5//6/7

1//
Absolutely loving this foundation! It is medium coverage that evens out my skin tone, looks natural, and gives a beautiful/natural glow.

2//
I have been reaching for the Naked 3 palette and all of its rosy goodness now that we are experiencing consistent spring weather! I love all the Naked palettes for different reasons but this one has been my go to recently.

3//
I cannot believe I forgot to mention Splash of Grenadine in my spring nail favorites! It has been one of my favorite Essie colors for a while.

4//
I love the OCC lip tars and while I have been going for the natural/glowy look as the weather warms up, I love patting Lydia on my lips. It is one of those 'my lip color but better.'

5+6//
I am a fan of the Body Shops body butters and now I have been having even more fun with them by combining the strawberry with the vanilla scent before slathering it on my legs.

7//
It is no secret that I am a Tarte blush kinda gal but boy had I been missing out as I constantly skipped over Exposed. It seems to meh in the pan but I absolutely love it once applied to my face.

Monday

A Different Type of Easter

This year my Easter was a little different.
I spent the last part of the week, minus Sunday, in Camden for a horse show!
The weather was beautiful and while I did not go home to my parents this year for Easter, I did spend time with my mom at the show.

While in Camden we all were surprised to see the Easter Bunny make an appearance and there was an Easter egg hunt for all of the younger competitors!

Remi did not get the chance to experience the Easter Bunny but that is probably a good thing!

On Easter morning I enjoyed some time with my little nugget children. We went on a walk and then I took them on a car ride - which they love! - to Starbucks and Boone discovered his new favorite riding spot.

Yes, he is hunkered down in between my front and back seats. He loves getting all cozy on car rides.

That afternoon Daniel and I had lunch with his family and then we ran some errands before washing cars, cleaning the house, and relaxing/pigging out on ice cream. We made the mistake of picking up this Ben and Jerry's from the grocery store and it is SO good!

If you like peanut butter than you will love this!
How was your Easter?

Wednesday

Spring Nail Picks

I tend to overlap spring and summer nail colors but I have so many polish colors that I would overload you with nail polish if I started naming all of my spring and summer favs!
So I decided to break my spring and summer nail colors into different posts.

So, today I bring you the nail colors that I have reached for the most this spring!
Let me know what nail colors you are reaching for this spring!

Also, take a look at my spring nails! I decided to try this idea out after watching a youtube ad for Essie's Picking Wildflowers.

I know that I seem Essie obsessed in this post. I just happened to pick up most of these Essie colors recently so I have been reaching for them since they are new and I'm loving the colors! My collection mainly consists of Essie and OPI with a few other brands thrown in there. You will see!

And here are my spring nails!

So easy and so cute! Definitely pleased with how these came out.
