Friday

Hello Friday!!

I cannot believe that we are saying goodbye to July this weekend and hello to August. While I am excited to start classes, now that August is looming over my head I am starting to realize how busy I am going to be and am hoping these next few weeks go by slowly!
Today I am linking up with Amanda, Christina, and Karli.

Favorite Workout Song

I am always looking for songs that pump me up during my workouts and this one does just that!

Favorite Workout

Well I wouldn't say that this is my favorite workout but I know circuit workouts are super good to incorporate into your exercise routine. If you want to switch up your workouts a bit (like I decided to do at 6M this morning...may have been a bad decision) then try a circuit workout! This isn't exactly what we did in kickboxing this morning but it's close!

Nordstrom Anniversary Crushes That Are Still Available!

There is still time to snatch up goodies from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale1 These are some items that I am crushing on that I someone skipped over during early access and they no longer have it in my size. These jeans are everything I want in a jean - my size keeps popping up and disappearing so I am keeping my eye on these. These hunter boots. I hummed and hawed about them because I already have a pair of the original hunter boots so I didn't get them but wish I did. During the early access I attempted to buy the Rails plaid shirt in cranberry but after ordering it I was notified that the they couldn't fulfill my request. I ended up snagging this one instead and it's still available in all sizes! I have a Burberry Jacket but I do LOVE this one. Added this to my cart but already have a coat from a previous anniversary sale.

Crushes

These laptop cases! This phone case. They are so expensive and that's what has kept me from buying one, but it is beautiful.
I have always wanted a Lime Crime liquid lipstick and I think I might bite the bullet to get this gorgeous shade!
These new liquid eyeliners from Too Faced have an awesome color range and I want to try them out!

What I Got From The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

If you use the internet at all then you have likely seen (a million times) that the Nordstrom Anniversary sale has been going on for a bit now. My mom is a cardholder so I was able to shop during early access, but they still cancelled one of my items - which is a bummer because I really wanted it! Thankfully, I was still able to snag quite a few goodies that I was eyeing! I haven't had a chance to try everything on yet as I have been working late everyday this week and my package just came yesterday so who knows what exactly I'll be keeping and what will be going back.
Plus what kind of blogger would I be if I didn't include my buys from the sale?!

1/2/3/4/5/6(no longer available)/7/8/9/10/11 (not available)

I have two pairs of Articles of Society Jeans and they are seriously the most comfortable jeans I own! They look great but are so soft and stretchy. I snatched up the 'Mya' and 'Sarah' skinny jeans. Unfortunately the 'Mya' Americana wash that was part of the anniversary sale is no longer available, but the 'Sarah' still is!

I have been lusting after the Love Token Vest ever since I saw it in my local Monkees last year. They sold out so fast and I couldn't get my hands on one so I am thrilled that it was part of the Anniversary sale! I just happened to stumble across it while scrolling through the pages and jumped for joy. I am a bit unsettled about the vest having actual rabbit fur so we will see how I feel about that.

The Ted Baker Layered Bow Bag is going to turn into my new cosmetic travel bag!

I have been in desperate need of new sport bras for a while now and decided to pick up some Nike ones. I loved the Zella sport bras but the plain black (so boring I know) Nike one's will work with every workout top that I have.

I usually do not order any type of swim items from the internet because lets face it...you never know how bathing suits will fit. I took the plunge and ordered the Mara Hoffman Twist Front One Piece Suit and I love it! Unfortunately it is no longer available. I also ordered the La Blanca Beaded Cover up!

The Barefoot Dreams Cozy Chic Bathrobe is SO soft and comfortable. I lounge around the house in it every time I get out of the shower. I also noticed that it is no longer included in the Anniversary sale but it is still available in select colors.

We all know that I have a boot fetish and after going through all of my Frye boots and selling the pairs that didn't fit so well, I decided that the one staple that I needed was the Melissa Button Boot and was so thrilled to see that they had it as part of the sale!! I couldn't have gotten much luckier than that.

For some basic staples I ordered the Eliza J Knit Sheath Dress that is perfect to wear while transitioning into and for fall. I picked up the Pleione Split Neck Mixed Media tunic on a whim because it looks so easy to wear and goes with so much. Reviews have now surfaced that the fit can be big so I am hoping that it will fit. I may pick up a few more of these simple but flattering tops if I am impressed with the one I got.

Weekending! A Low Key Weekend

Today I am linking up with Biana to tell you all about my weekend.

Honestly, this was a low key weekend and I am totally happy with that!
On Friday and Saturday I practiced my aerial yoga and learned some new moves!

Aerial yoga looks easy but I can tell you that it takes much more strength than I imagined. I was so sore on Sunday after doing aerial for two days in a row. My arms/shoulders are sore in places that I wasn't even aware of!

I, unfortunately, had to work on Saturday but I still was able to spend some time with my four legged companions.
Boone, Ash, Nick, and I went on our daily walks even though it is so humid, even at 8 in the morning (misery!).

Since I worked on Saturday I didn't get to ride this weekend, but I still went out to the barn with Nick and treated Remi to a spa day.

So thrilled about his bath.
Remi should be cleared to go back to work in about 3 weeks and I am very excited! Waiting is the hardest part.

On Saturday and Sunday night Nick and I grilled burgers and caesar salads. I finished the weekend off with some Dairy Queen, driving around car lots, and watching Sleepy Hollow!

How was your weekend? Was it full of adventures are did you get to relax and recharge?

Friday

It's Friday!!!

Happy Friday Loves! It has been a long week, but I am so happy that we are so close to the weekend!!

Linking up with ChristinaAmanda and Karli.

Currently Product Crush

I stumbled across this brand last night and I am going to have to try it! The nail polish is water based (so no yucky chemicals - even though that has not stopped my polish addiction) and the polish peels off!! Yes, it peels right off! Nail friendly nail polish? I'm all about it!

Favorite Meal Of The Week

Chicken Parmeson Sliders (Scroll down to the chicken parm ones)

I decided to make these on a whim while trying to change up some of our weeknight meals. While I did accidentally buy the Hawaiian King's Sub Rolls (so I made chicken parm subs!), these turned out way yummier than expected! They are easy and very tasty so I suggest you give them a go - with either the slider or the sub rolls! Nick and I devoured them so fast that I wasn't able to capture a picture.

New Favorite Product

These things are the bomb dot com. I think a skin routine is important and I can be kinda lazy when it comes to anything but moisturizing and applying sunscreen. I use facial masks, but having to wear them for 20 minutes is a total bore to me. When I stumbled across these radiance pads with lactic and glycolic acid I had to have them. After using one of the radiance pads, my face looks tighter and brighter. Plus, they are gentle enough for everyday use! I will definitely keep these in my skin routine arsenal.

Drugstore Fall Lip Colors {Currently Crushing On}

Fall cannot come quick enough for me. It is my favorite seasons and I am always craving that cool fall air come mid-July when I swelter to death out side at 7AM.
While I still have a bit until my cool fall air reaches my door, I live under the impression that it is never to early to start thinking about fall/buying fall clothes and makeup.

As of right now, these are my current fall drugstore lipstick crushes and they are all available in stores now

All of these lip products wear comfortably on the lips and are well pigmented

Maybelline Smoking Red and Maybelline Berry Bossy

Milani Matte Lip Crème in Adorable and ColourPop Lippie Stix in Lumière

L to R: Maybelline Smoking Red, Maybelline Berry Bossy, Milani Adorable (10), and Colour Pop Lumière

I was so thrilled to see new Maybelline lipsticks because I have a wonderful relationship with their color sensational lipsticks! The Loaded Bolds collection did not dissapoint and the collection includes a purple, a black, and a navy! You don't see colors like those at the drugstore very often.

The Milani matte lip crème's I have had my eye on for a while and they recently popped up at my local CVS and I was sold! They are opaque, smell like birthday cake, and they are so comfortable to wear! These are a huge hit with me.

Lumière Lippie Stix may just be my all-time favorite lip color. It is my lips but better and it is just gorgeous on! It is such a fabulous everyday color that I will be buying some back ups!

What are your favorite fall lip colors??

Weekending

Today I am linking up with Biana from B Loved Boston to talk about my weekend!
I stumbled across Biana's blog during Amanda's friday link-up and really loved her content so definitely go check it out!

This weekend was a hot and busy one. I wouldn't say I did anything super exciting, but I definitely accomplished a lot!
I dare not show you all a picture yet but I started getting my office set up so I will have a place to study come the start of the semester. I spent the rest of my Friday night working on my aerial yoga skills! I have learned a small drop maneuver and while it needs some work, I am still in awe that I was able to do something so cool looking so quickly.

I also worked on my scorpion on Sunday and it looks so much better already!

On Saturday I woke up early to head to the barn before the heat became too intense. I had a lesson on Oliver and then rode Jackson, the farms pony that is starting to be trained. After a wild ride on Jackson, I spent some time cleaning up my main man, Remi! I cannot wait to get back on him but in the meantime we are getting lots of beauty time.

Baby Jackson

My main squeeze

Saturday night Nick surprised me with dinner and a movie! We went and saw The Secret Life of Pets, which was super cute.
It really makes we wish I could know what my two boys think all the time.

Sunday was boring and consisted of errands and me becoming sick. I still am not feeling so hot today and I'm hoping whatever this is will go away soon. While I laid in bed and watched Hulu like the pitiful person I was, Nick worked on the lawn mower and then made some grilled caesar salads for us for dinner! We finished the night by watching Sleepy Hollow and I fell asleep on the couch.
As always the weekend went by too fast but it was good never the less! I hope you all had a good weekend!

Friday

Hello Friday!

Hello Friday! The summer is flying by but honestly I am a bit excited because I am chomping at the bit to start nursing school! More about that later. For now I am bringing you my week favorites and linking up with Amanda, Karli, Tif, and Christina!

1/ Favorite Song

Hymn For The Weekend - Coldplay ft. Beyonce

Loving this song and loving Beyonce's makeup in the actual music video. So gorgeous!

2/ Favorite New Show

The Good Wife.

Now that I have watched the new season of Orange is the New Black (OMG!) and have watched all the episodes of the Mindy Project I have now moved onto The Good Wife and am loving it! Plus there are 7 seasons on Hulu so I can continue my binge watching for a while.

3/ Favorite Upcoming Moment

That's right!! I am going to be starting aerial yoga in the month of July. I had so much fun at the open house and am so excited to give it a go!

4/ Favorite Moment Of The Week

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale started yesterday for card holders and lets just say I found a few things...

Getting Back In The Saddle

This past weekend I was in Virginia for a horse show. This was such a fun moment because I haven't shown since the very beginning of this year, and I've been dying to get back into the ring. While I wish I had gone to the show with Remi (who is doing well by the way!), he is still recovering so I now have a new mount named Oliver.

Oliver is only 5 years old so he is still working on some things but overall he was a good boy and survived his first show with an amateur rider. This was an interesting show because we were all on inexperienced and new horses, but overall I would say that Oliver and I were successful!

Twinning! Ashley on the left with her new mare Greyta and Oliver and I are on the right.

Telling Oliver that he was a good boy.

After sweltering to death at the show, I managed to eat my way through Culpeper during my short stay!

Fantastic Reese's cheesecake and gelato! Sadly I didn't get to enjoy much because I felt awful that night, but I can tell you that the few bites I took were magical.

The most delicious chicken salad wrap and white bean and feta salad. The Thyme Market is definitely a little gem in downtown Culpeper.

I found a French Bakery and OMG...I wanted all the chocolate. They had beautiful cakes (which sadly I didn't get to go back for because they were closed), pastries, coffee, gelato, and so much chocolate! We planned to go back for more later in the day, but they closed earlier than I thought! So sad! The peanut butter caramel chocolate that I did have was so good though.

Going to Culpeper made me realize how much I missed showing and how I can't wait to get Remi back into the show ring!
