A Jam Packed Weekend

This weekend was definitely one to remember!
After a failed attempt to get my car inspected (I woke up extremely early Saturday morning before my tubing trip to sit in the parking lot of the inspection station only to discover that the guy was not showing up. Ugh!), Daniel and I went tubing!

Daniel and I have been tubing the last two summers in a row so there was no way we were passing this summer up!
I was originally worried because it was so cloudy, but the sun ended up coming out right before we hit the river! Unfortunately, I was not a smart cookie and neglected to put on sunscreen because it had been so cloudy. Needless to say, Daniel and I got burnt.

Daniel and I looking a little rough after a 2 hour tubing adventure down the river!

As always the trip was a blast! This year, we had a little more excitement than necessary...that involved spiders. Now, I am not very sissy when it comes to many things but I cannot deal with spiders. At the end of the tubing trip, Daniel had the bright idea to float us on the side of the river closest to the steps so we didn't get stuck walking from the other side. Great idea until he made me float right through a branch. Literally through it. When I looked down a few moments later, I got a glimpse of two HUGE water spiders trying to scramble up my body.

Oh my gosh...I think I scared the entire river when I screamed bloody murder and flung myself off of my tube so that I could promptly scramble up Daniels tube and curl up on top of him. Not my best moment to say the least. Oh well!

That night we went out for my sisters Birthday. Little one turned 20 and I cannot believe it. Happy Birthday little sister!

Sorry for the crappy lighting, but let me just tell you that it is hard to get her to take a picture so I had to make do :)

To end the lovely weekend, Daniel and I went out to grab a bit to eat Sunday night. That night we learned the hard way how expensive it is to get someone to unlock your car door after you have locked the keys in. Oops. At least we got to eat outside and enjoy the nice weather while waiting for help to arrive!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and nice start to the week! The lesson of the week is: do not lock your keys in your car. Unless you have triple A. Otherwise you will pay an incredible amount and feel like an idiot.

Until next time!

Friday

TGIF!

Hello everyone!
I am so happy that it is Friday!
The week has been an eventful one. On Tuesday we had some bad weather and a tornado warning! Let me just say, I do not enjoy bad weather when I am with people, but I am currently alone and a tornado warning certainly made my night more interesting. Thankfully, it was going in the opposite direction of my area, but it was still nerve wracking!
Afterwards we did have a beautiful sunset and I did manage to get a picture of it.

Unfortunately the tree was blocking my view of a better shot

After the storm incident, I met up with one of my good friends from high school a day later!
I was so happy to see Jen since both of our schedules do not give us much time to get together and catch up. I am especially happy to see her any chance I get before she heads to Boston for grad school in January! We are getting so old. We did enjoy a day of shopping, chatting, and eat! I am always up for fun trips like that.

The rest of the week was relatively slow. I did have to give the dog a bath (great picture below!), I worked, laid out, and spent a lot of time reading for my online summer class. I did get a surprise this morning when I woke up. My orchid bloomed again! I am so happy considering those beautiful plants are, sadly, so easy to kill. Just had to taken a second to brag about my luck when it comes to my orchid plant!

I hope the week has been a good one! TGIF and enjoy your weekend! I have a packed weekend so there will be a post telling you all about my weekend at the beginning of the week! And as promised here is the great picture of my soaking wet Pomeranian!

Monday

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to my crazy life!  I have been thinking about making a blog for a while, and I finally caved. There are very few dull moments in my life, and even though it drives me crazy at times, I wouldn't have it any other way.

I have lots of big moments that everyone goes through at one point or another coming up, and I figured I would share it with everyone! Hopefully my journey as a young adult navigating the real world will touch home with multiple people. Even if it isn't relevant to your own life, I hope you find some humor in my crazy/fun adventures!

I am crazy busy during the week but hope to have posts up at the end of the weekend or beginning of the week! I will do my best to keep up, but we all know that life simply teases us and we never know what is around the next bend!
